The Danish company on the verge of significantly expanding a wind farm in the Irish Sea says the government is generally supportive of the proposal.
Dong Energy is developing the Walney wind farm site for the benefit of the British government - although concerns have been raised here about the close proximity to the Steam Packet's sailing routes.
The company held an open day yesterday at the Villa Marina to showcase its plans although the project is not for public consultation here.
Emily Marshall is stakeholder co-ordinator for the energy firm, she told Energy FM that communication has been good between the Dong and Manx authorities:
