Drainage improvement works are planned for Sulby in an effort to stop the reoccurring threat of flooding to a local housing estate.
The installation of drainage pipes will reduce the risk of flooding in the Carrick Park estate during periods of heavy rainfall.
The works will start on the Main Road between the Ginger Hall and the Sulby Bride on September 3rd and it’s expected they’ll take roughly three weeks.
From September 5th the road will be closed from 8.30am until 4pm each day to allow the work to progress safely.
It also allows school buses access to take children to and from school.
When the road is closed the diversion will be via St Judes.
