Television coverage of this year’s End-2-End mountain bike race is in doubt after the government pulled out of funding the filming of the event.
Greenlight Television, based in Tromode, started covering the event in 2005 when just a few hundred people took part.
The event now attracts 1,700 with around 650 travelling competitors from the UK and further a field
Highlights are usually shown on Sky Sports.
Previously, the government had said it wanted to capitalise on the popularity of the event in a bid to boost the profile of the Isle of Man.
This year’s race will take place on September 7th.
