The Chief Minister says the Isle of Man an important role to play in supporting economic recovery in the UK and further afield.
Allan Bell highlighted the Island’s importance at an event in the City of London last week which was part of an ongoing programme of engagement with key figures in Westminster and the City.
He told delegates that the fundamental challenge facing the global economy was how to stimulate the growth that was desperately needed.
Mr Bell said international business centres such as the Isle of Man could play a small but significant role as catalysts for economic recovery and growth, adding that the Island was contributing particularly to the city and north-west.
He add that the Island wanted to work with businesses to make the most of further opportunities for economic growth and said growing both the UK and Isle of Man economies were complementary activities.
