An MHK will attempt to get an update on the disposal plans for the Solway Harvester at next week’s House of Keys sitting.
Seven men from Scotland died onboard the trawler when it sank off the Manx coast in 2000.
The wreck has sat in public view in Douglas harbour for a number of years, attracting a large amount of criticism.
Lawyers have asked for it to be retained, until civil action being taken in the Scottish courts is over.
There are then plans for it to be scrapped in Ramsey and the families of those who died have given their consent to this method of disposal.
MHK for Ramsey Leonard Singer will ask the Infrastructure Minister for a statement on the current situation.
