Bee Gee star Robin Gibb died from liver failure and not cancer - his son has revealed.
In an interview with a Sunday newspaper Robin’s son RJ said the singer’s end was peaceful and dignified.
He is quoted as saying it wasn’t the cancer that killed his father as he had gone into remission and the cancer was completely unrecognisable.
The 62 year old singer died eight days ago in a London hospital following treatment for cancer and a bout of pneumonia which left him in a coma.
His son also revealed that a private funeral would be held in June in Oxfordshire and said it would feature some Bee Gee’s tracks.
