The Infrastructure Minister says there are a number of major schemes planned in the next 12 months to improve the state of the Island's roads.
David Cretney was asked about the maintenance of the Island's highways in the House of Keys this morning.
Works are planned on a number of busy routes including Cooil Road in Braddan, Finch Road in Douglas and Lezayre Road in Ramsey.
There are also plans for £750,000 worth of surface dressing, where chippings are laid on top of the road surface to prolong its life.
Mr Cretney has previously estimated that £100,000,000 worth of repairs would be needed to bring the roads up to scratch.
He explains why they are in such a poor condition [play clip]
