The Health Minister says he has no plan to make cuts to frontline services.
David Anderson says his department is finding savings elsewhere so that it can continue to provide the current level of healthcare on the Island.
However, he says he is currently looking at prescription charges, and reviewing which groups should be entitled to free prescriptions, dental care and eye tests.
In the House of Keys this morning, Mr Anderson rejected a suggestion from Douglas East MHK Brenda Cannell that all prescriptions could be made free.
The Minister says, despite needing to find savings, that there are new services and facilities on the way [play clip]
