A review is to be carried out into the work of the Attorney General's Chambers.
It comes at the request of Chief Minister Allan Bell and has been commissioned by the acting head of the chambers Michelle Norman.
She's standing in for Stephen Harding who's been on sick leave for several months.
There have been concerns about how prosecutions are handled.
Some of the criticism has come from politicians and members of the judiciary.
The review will focus on the prosecutions team, but will also look at all of the responsibilities of the Attorney General's Office, including civil litigation and drafting.
It will be carried out by the former HM Chief Inspector of the Crown Prosecution Service Stephen Wooler.
