A politician is to ask what protection will be in place for Department records when Freedom of Information legislation is brought in.
Onchan MHK Zac Hall is to ask Chief Minister Allan Bell what assessment he has done regarding public records, and what steps are being taken to ensure Department records are properly retained and protected.
Mr Bell recently confirmed that the Freedom of Information Bill will go before Tynwald this parliamentary year.
The legislation had been put on hold whilst further investigations into the cost of bringing the Bill in were carried out.
It's hoped the Bill will give the public greater access to Government information.
