People who failed to keep hospital appointments cost the Department of Health over £1.2m last year.
In 2010/2011, more than 8,000 outpatients failed to turn up at Noble's.
Each missed appointment costs around £150.
The Department says it's not only concerned about the financial implications but also the impact missed appointments are having on the hospital's ability to treat patients, keep waiting lists down and use staff time effectively.
People who can't attend or no longer want their appointments are asked to notify the hospital as soon as possible.
