Police are looking for a couple following a number of thefts using a distraction technique in shops and pubs across the Island yesterday.
The man and woman asked retailers to swap cash from one denomination to another, stealing money in the process through distraction and confusion.
The pair are described as Asian, between 40 and 45 years old. The woman is of heavy build with long dark hair and was wearing a sari and had a plaster under her left eye.
Her accomplice had short dark hair, and is said to be of slim build.
They've been described as smiley and chatty.
It's understood they're using a silver saloon BMW.
Officers are urging shopkeepers and landlords to be vigilant.
Anyone who spots the couple is urged to contact Police Headquarters.
