Tynwald to vote on banning party drug
Mon, 12 Dec 2011
Moves will be made this week to ban a legal high which killed a 17 year old Ramsey girl.
Tanya Hughes died in April after taking MDAI.
The drug was purchased legally on a website.
Health Minister David Anderson will bring a motion to Tynwald tomorrow which would make the substance illegal on the Isle of Man.
Last year, the Island also made a similar move, ahead of the UK, to ban another substance known as 'plant food' after widespread concern about its safety.
