November Tynwald sitting

The November sitting of Tynwald gets underway today.

Speaker of the House of Keys Steve Rodan is asking about the cost of the Office of Fair Trading report into the Steam Packet's prices that was never published.

Member for Onchan Zac Hall has questions down about developing work opportunities for prison inmates, bureaucracy in the police and rehabilitation for drug offenders.

His Liberal Vannin colleague Kate Beecroft will ask about operating theatres at the hospital and assets seized from failed businesses or the proceeds of crime.

On the order paper:

The Water and Sewage Authority wants almost half a million pounds for pumping station refurbishment.

The Department of Social Care is looking to spend £475,000 on six new public sector flats in Jurby.
