A man is in hospital after his motorbike went over the cliff on the Peel to Kirk Michael coast road.

The crash happened just after 1.30pm yesterday at the Devil's Elbow.

The rider of the bike was a 54 year old Douglas man.

There's no update on his condition.

It was a busy bank holiday afternoon for emergency services who also had two further crashes to deal with.

They were both at Greeba.

One involved a bike and car near to the Hawthorn Restaurant.

Then later on a car hit a telegraph pole bringing down overhead lines and resulting in the road being closed for over four hours.

There were no serious injuries in either crash.
