OFT warns of IT suppliers scam

The Isle of Man Office of Fair Trading is warning of rogue traders offering IT supplies.

Local businsses and consumers have recently contacted the OFT with concerns after being contacted out of the blue by supposed IT suppliers.

The callers claimed to be from Microsoft or Windows Maintenance.

None of those who contacted the OFT agreed to pay for any services.

Anyone who received such a call is advised not to hand over any financial details.
