MHK seeks update on job losses

A North Douglas MHK will seek an update on potential redundancies within the Department of Community, Culture and Leisure at this month's sitting of Tynwald.

 

Bill Henderson will ask Minister David Cretney what progress has been made since the February sitting of the Island's parliament.

 

Up to twenty-two posts could be lost in the Department's public transport engineering division.

 

The Department has been looking for other areas to make savings to avoid job losses.

 

The question will be answered in Tynwald tomorrow
