Works scheduled for Billown Crossroads

Works will take place to improve the Billown Crossroads later this week.

 

The Department of Infrastructure will be removing a camber in the junction, which will improve ride quality.

 

It's believed this will also reduce ongoing maintenance.

 

The Department says it would have liked to have carried out the works whilst undertaking repairs in the area recently, but this wasn't possible due to the emergency nature of the work.

 

24 hour temporary traffic lights will be in place on Thursday and Friday whilst the work is completed
