Plan ahead for funeral say police

Police are recommending those wishing to pay their repsects to Sir Norman Wisdom plan ahead.

A cortege will travel down Summerhill, along the promenade, down Finch Road on onto Hill Street tomorrow lunchtime.

The Roads Policing Unit expect there to be some disruption to traffic at this time.

A spokesman for the police says people could congregate along the promande and at Greensills Corner, but ask them to think about parking.

It's hoped additional parking at the War Memorial will be arranged through the Department of Infrastructure.

Ninety five year old Sir Norman died earlier this month.
