A Conservative MP put up an Early Day Motion asking that Britain's Houses of Parliament join in the celebrations for Tynwald Day.
Romford MP Andrew Rosindell also asked that the UK Government looks forward to a further 1000 years of Manx self-government.
14 members of parliament supported the motion, including Ian Paisley Junior - the son of the former First Minister of Northern Ireland, and Northern Ireland's Minister of Culture, Arts and Leisure Gregory Campbell.
A number of politicians from around the world visited the Isle of Man on Monday as part of the Tynwald Day celebrations, but no current MPs attended.
