A visitor to the Island has been given an exclusion order after shouting an obscenity at a woman.
Alfred Lowe from Whitehaven admitted making use of provoking behaviour.
The 59 year old shouted at the woman in the play area on Loch Promenade because she was smoking in the presence of children.
A witness became worried about Lowe's behaviour and stopped a passing police car.
It was obvious he had been drinking, and called officers names when he was arrested.
He later admitted drinking several cans of lager and some vodka, whilst also taking medication for depression to help him get over his wife's death.
He was given a five year exclusion order, fined £350, and ordered to pay £50 costs.
