The TT Marshals Association has revealed that at least one competitor in this year's TT has been fined for ignoring safety flags around the course.
All riders in the TT are given a comprehensive safety briefing ahead of the first practice session including the importance of the marshals' flag system.
The rider who has not been named was fined £250 and warned about their future conduct.
The ACU has said failure to respond appropriately to a yellow flag situation is an extremely serious offence and retains the right to disqualify a rider from a race or revoke his or her licence to compete if the situation is justified.
