Locum savings create four Consultant roles

Spending less money on locum doctors has allowed the Department of Health and Social Care to create four Consultant posts at Noble's Hospital.

The Department has revealed it's converting middle grade doctor locum expenditure to set up a number of extra Consultant posts.

The details were revealed in response to a Freedom of Information request, which revealed no doctors have been reclassified as Consultants at Noble's in the last 12 months.

The DHSC also confirmed there are no plans to reclassify any doctors as Consultants.
