Port Erin rates frozen for fourth year in a row

Port Erin Commissioners confirmed that the town's rates will be frozen for the coming year.

The local authority announced that the rates will stay at 288p in the pound for the 2017-18 financial year.

It's the fourth year in a row the board has made no change to the rates for Port Erin homeowners.

The Commissioners cited efficient working methods and budget management as the reason for the freeze.
