Views sought for PCA review

Manx residents who have undergone a Personal Capability Assessment will be asked for their views as the Government reviews the process.

The assessment is currently suspended while the Treasury looks for ways to improve the system.

A random selection of those who have undergone the assessment on Island will be asked their opinions through a questionnaire, telephone interview or group discussion.

Support services, medical workers and representatives from charities will also be invited to contribute before any changes are made.

The PCA tries to determine whether someone claiming incapacity benefit is able to undertake some form of work.
