Drop in unemployment on the Island

Nearly half of the 930 people out of work on the Isle of Man are under 30-years-old.

Statistics show the unemployment level has dropped to 2.1 per cent – the lowest level in February for four years.

It’s a drop of 43 on the previous month - of those not working 70 per cent are men and 30 per cent are women.

During February 684 vacancies were notified to the Job Centre.
