OFT says plan for Christmas now

The public has been urged to get to grips with the cost of Christmas in advance to help alleviate some of the pressure.

The Office of Fair Trading says the festive period can be very stressful if money is tight.

It believes calls to the Debt Counselling Service could be slightly higher than normal this year.
