Lord Street hotel plans to be submitted in near future

Planning permission for a development on the site of the former Lord Street bus station is to be submitted in the near future.

The Department of Infrastructure and Developers Askett Hawk have exchanged a Development Agreement for a mixed use development on the land.

The plans include a 120 bedroom 4 star hotel, serviced apartments and restaurants plus parking for 150 cars.

Askett Hawk is working on the design with the Planning Division and is looking to put the application in soon.

Under the terms of the agreement from Tynwald, Askett Hawk will have 6 months to apply for planning permission, with a further year for works to get underway.
