DEC seeks feedback on updated dyslexia policy

Education bosses are looking to update their policy on dyslexia.

The Department of Education and Children's current policy dates back to 2002.

Therefore, the DEC is seeking feedback from parents and other members of the public on an updated policy.

The new document is available online, and aims to raise awareness and understanding of dyslexia.

Up to 10% of children have dyslexia or difficulty with the written word.

All feedback on the new policy should be sent to the Department by May 11th.
