Funding for new MER sub-station approved
Over quarter of a million pounds is to be spent on a new electrical sub-station at Laxey.
Tynwald has given to go-ahead for £274,000 to be spent.
The current equipment at Laxey MER Station is time-lapsed, and Community, Culture and Leisure Minister Tim Crookall says replacing it is essential to ensure the railway continues to operate smoothly.
