More tributes paid to Island comic

Tributes are being paid to one of the Island's best known residents.

Sir Norman Wisdom died yesterday aged 95.

Chief Minister Tony Brown says he's saddened to hear of his death, and commended his work with Manx charities over the years.

Fans have begun leaving flowers next to the statue of Sir Norman outside the Sefton, which named it's bar and restaurant after the comedy star.

Best known for his slapstick films, Sir Norman spent his last few years in Abbotswood Nursing Home in the South of the Island.

Abbotswood is in the constituency of Malew and Santon MHK Graham Cregeen, who paid this tribute to Sir Norman [play clip]
