Attempted theft in Grandstand paddock
Police are investigating an attempted theft in the paddock at the Grandstand.
At 3.05 this morning an alarm on a tent in the paddock was set off.
The offender had cut slits in the tent, and was trying to steal motorcycle clothing.
The person responsible had fled the scene before the police or the owner arrived.
Officers say people should be aware that traders have taken steps to protect their stock, and that their tents are not an easy target.
