Manx words included in Oxford English Dictionary

22 Manx words have been added to the Oxford English Dictionary.

Researchers from the publication looked through local newspapers, books, Twitter accounts and Hansard transcripts from Tynwald to identify words and phrases spoken on the Island.

Hop tu Naa, loaghtan and skeet are among the words featured.

The words will be included in the next OED update.
