Visitors caught breaching Mountain Road one-way system

Tue, 30 May 2017

Several visitors to the Island have been breaching the one-way system on the Mountain Road.

The Island's police revealed it stopped a number of motorists yesterday going against the flow of traffic over the A18.

The road is made one way in the direction of the TT course throughout TT to prevent head-on collisions.

Officers have already warned that those caught ignoring the one-way and no-entry signs will be prosecuted, and are risking serious injury or death by doing so.

As those caught breaking the rules so far have all been from off Island, the Isle of Man Constabulary has reiterated the message in several languages on social media.
