Minister under fire over TT gifts page

The Economic Development Minister is coming under fire after a gift shop he's involved with removed the term 'TT' from its pages.

Laurence Skelly is listed as a director of Manx Inspirations, which changed the name of its TT gifts section to Road Race gifts earlier this week.

The change was made on the same day Bushy's Brewery announced Mr Skelly's department is threatening legal action over the company's use of the term 'Bushy's TT'.

Before and after screenshots of the page have been circulating on social media, with some questioning whether the Minister's involvement in such a company is a conflict of interest.

The DED have stated they must protect the TT brand, but hope to reach an agreement with Bushy's.
