Petition set up in support of Bushy's

An online petition in support of Bushy's Brewery has been set up after the company revealed it could be sued by the Manx Government.

Bushy's revealed that the Department of Economic Development has questioned its right to use the term 'TT' and told the company to stop, despite holding the trademark to the term 'Bushy's TT'.

The petition, which has attracted almost 200 signatures since being set up last night, says Bushy's is synonymous with the TT and contributes to the Manx economy.

It also calls for the Government to stop threatening legal action and let other local companies use the letters 'TT'.

Bushy's are currently seeking legal advice on the matter.
