Opportunities for people to contribute to prison service

People on the Isle of Man are being urged to make an active contribution to the prison service.
New members are needed to serve on the Independent Monitoring Board - it ensures detainees' rights are upheld and involves monitoring holding cells in prison and custody suites.
The IMB also ensures those detained are well cared for and have appropriate access to education, exercise, healthcare and a resettlement plan.
Chair woman Aileen Gelling says those interested have the opportunity to see offenders turn their lives around and become useful members of society on their release:
