Cost of shelved TT World Series angers taxpayers

The final cost of a TT World Series concept have angered the public after it was revealed over £330,000 has been spent on the shelved idea.

This week Economic Development revealed it's original £250,000 figure was increasing by a further £82,000.

The news received a bad press from listeners who took to our Facebook page to vent their frustrations.

Julie wants to know why a cancer drug fund is 'too expensive', but we can afford to throw away £332,000 on a shelved idea. 
Al wants to see a run down on every penny spent, whilst Jeff wonders why - in days of austerity - it isn't going on priorities like education and health.

Minister Laurence Skelly has assured the public that it's the last addition to the ultimate figure.
