Ayre Clay Target Club Report

Thirty shooters took part in the Trafalgar Hotel sponsored English Sporting Selection Shoot at Blue Point on Sunday.

 

Neil Parsons led at the halfway stage of the 100 target competition with 39/50.  Alan Kinrade was second on 38 with veteran shooter Brian Mylrea and Kevin Oates one target behind on 37.

 

Oates got the bit between his teeth for the second half, missing just 5 of the last 50 for a score of 82 to take the win and the Manx Petroleums trophy.  Kinrade was second on 78 with Mylrea third on 75.

 

Result:

High Gun: Kevin Oates 82.

A/B Class: 1, Alan Kinrade 78; 2, Martin Kneen 61.

C Class: 1, Brian Mylrea 75; 2, Neil Parsons 74; 3, Michael Cross 65.

 

This week at Blue Point is the 100 target Olympic Trap Manx Championship.  Entries close at 10.15am.  Practice in other disciplines will be available.
