Ayre Clay Target Club report 9th Sep 2013

Ayre Clay target Club hosted a 100 bird English Sporting competition at Blue Point range on Sunday, kindly sponsored by the Trafalgar Hotel of Ramsey.

 

Marty Kneen led at the halfway stage with a score of 42/50. Kevin Oates was three points behind on 39 with Paul Mihailovits in third on 36.

 

Kneen shot consistently in the second half to record another 42, giving an overall score of 84/100. This was matched by Oates who held onto second place with a 42 for a total of 81. Jake Keeling came through to finish third with 76.

 

Recent member Nigel Moffatt shot too well in the first half, meaning that the computer classified him in B Class on the day, putting him just outside the prizes with a score of 67.

 

Results:

A/B Class: 1, Martin Kneen 84; 2, Kevin Oates 81; 3, Jake Keeling 76.

C Class: 1, Jack Clague 66; 2=, Paul Magee and Paul Mihailovits 64.

 

This week at Blue Point there is a 125 Olympic Trap Manx Championship, starting on Saturday afternoon; entries close at 12.30 pm.

Sunday sees the second part of the Trap competition along with a 125 Olympic Skeet shoot. Entry for both closes at 10.15am. DTL practice will be available.
