Peel sewage works on the agenda at public meeting

Mon, 03 Dec 2012  14:21

A public meeting will be held in Peel tonight to discuss the town’s sewage works – an issue that has proved controversial in the past.

Local commissioners rejected plans for new treatment works in 2009.

The topic is now being revisited after fresh proposals were put forward to create a facility on land behind the power station.

People will get to air their points of view at a meeting at the Corrin Hall from 8pm.

Water and Sewage Authority Chairman John Houghton, Peel MHK Tim Crookall and members of the commissioners with be among those attending.
