Island binge drinkers elaborated in UK report

Tue, 20 Nov 2012

A new report which claims youngsters in the Isle of Man drink more than young people in the United Kingdom has been slammed.

The Department of Home Affairs’ says Alcohol Concern’s study uses flawed data which is out of date.

The study claims that alcohol consumption in the UK is topped by young people in Estonia, Malta and those on the Island.

Research for the charity’s report was carried out in March by surveying 1,000 people between the ages of 16 and 24.
