Roads still closed following flooding

Fri, 12 Oct 2012  08:10

Since yesterday's severe flooding across the Island, the roads are said to be slowly returning to normality now.

All has been fairly quiet since around midnight.

Leigh terrace near the South Quay in Douglas has now reopened.

Ronague road, Surby Road, Glen Daragh Road, Ridgeway Road in Onchan and the St Marks to Orrisdale roads are still closed.

It's hoped they will be ready for reopening shortly.

Motorists are still advised to drive with extreme caution as there will be areas of flooding and also the risk of fresh pot holes.

All the main routes are open.
