A dramatic rise in cases of mumps on the Isle of Man has led to a call for people to ensure they've had the MMR vaccination.

By the end of August, 135 cases had been reported - that's compared to just seven cases through the whole of 2011

Symptoms of mumps include fever, headaches, muscle aches and most notably swollen glands.
