Kennaugh back in action after record performance at Olympics

Manx cyclist Peter Kennaugh will be back in action today after he helped to set a new world record at the Olympics yesterday.

Alongside his Great Britain team mates the 23 year old Onchan rider finished top of the board in the men's team pursuit qualifying round.

They recorded a time of 3 minutes and 52 seconds - almost a second quicker than when they set the record when winning the World Championships earlier this year.

Today he could become the first Manxman in 100 years to win a gold medal.

The race will start just after 4pm.

Peter's brother Tim Kennaugh says there is pressure on the team but the men will deliver:
