Marshals urged to accept apology

Fri, 03 Jun 2011

The Chairman of the TT Marshals Association is urging race volunteers to accept an apology from the Clerk of the Course.

Some marshals have threatened to quit after Eddie Nelson told them to 'stop whingeing about nothing.'

It came after complaints about the length of time it takes for marshals on the mountain to be allowed to leave their posts once an event finishes.

Terry Holmes hopes the apology will persuade marshals not to resign.[Play audio file below]
