TT organisers have released further information about tonight's incident in the sidecar practice session.

The session was 'red flagged' after approximately 15 minutes as a result of what organisers described as a 'serious incident' involving Bill Currie & Kevin Morgan (Competitor #15).

They crashed at the Ballacrye section of the course between Ballaugh and the Wildlife Park.

As a result the section between Ballaugh and Quarry Bends remains closed this evening while police carry out investigations.

Department of Infrastructure and MEA engineers are also at the scene carrying out repairs.

All other competitors have returned to the TT Grandstand.

Organisers have confirmed they will be issuing a further statement tomorrow morning (Wednesday).

------------

Competitors who had not reached the incident were sent back to the Grandstand 'wrong direction' whilst others were held prior to the Bungalow and then were conveyed back around the course by travelling marshals.
